About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at MMC Contractors. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of mechanical projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-construction reviews, including estimate review and contract document management.
  • Develop purchasing strategies, project flow charts, and schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure subcontractors meet contract document expectations and direct the purchase of major equipment.
  • Establish and coordinate overall project schedules, ensuring labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment cost control.
  • Provide accurate project billings and ensure completion of all required project reports.
  • Maintain client relationships and assist in developing new business opportunities.
  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with contract documents and schedules.
  • Assume responsibility for providing a safe work environment and complying with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to build relationships with team members and clients.
  • Ability to learn and use a variety of company-related software, tools, and systems necessary to meet business needs.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively solve complex problems.
  • Ability to provide mentorship to less experienced team members.
  • Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability, and generate future work through building relationships.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college/university or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years or more of related work experience preferred.
Working Environment

This role may require periods of overnight travel and normal office environment. Periods of time walking on construction sites may be required. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Frequent activity: sitting, viewing, and typing on computer screen. Occasional activity: standing, walking, bending, reaching above shoulder, climbing, and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. At times will be required to use a ladder and work at tall heights (i.e., roof top, access ladders, scissor-lift, scaffolding). Safety-sensitive position that requires extreme focus and attention to safety hazards and safety protocols.
