Responsibilities include:

  • Issuing and receiving small arms
  • Scheduling and performing preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons
  • Operating unit level computers

To succeed in this role, you should have an interest in mathematics, bookkeeping, accounting, business administration, or typing, as well as the ability to keep accurate records. Enjoying physical work is also beneficial.

As a Unit Supply Specialist, you will develop valuable skills and experience that can be applied to a civilian career in stock control, parts management, or storekeeping with factories, repair shops, department stores, or government warehouses and stockrooms.

The Army National Guard offers competitive compensation, including a monthly paycheck, paid training, and opportunities for tuition assistance, retirement benefits, and student loan repayment. You must meet certain eligibility requirements, including military enlistment, age (17-35), and passing a physical exam.
