Physical Therapy Resident

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physical Therapy Resident to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a Physical Therapy Resident, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform evaluations and treatments of patients/residents upon referral to relieve pain, prevent disability, develop and improve skills, and restore function.
- Participate in a minimum of 1500 hours of supervised treatment, clinical practice, specialty practice observation, and classroom/lab instruction.
- Develop and enhance physical therapy services, educational programs, and/or research within the practice of physical therapy, a department or program, or AEHN, as per the direction of the Residency Coordinator.
- Bachelor's Degree, entry-level Master's Degree, or DPT degree, or Bachelor's Degree plus certification in PT from an APTA accredited curriculum required.
- At least one year of clinical experience preferred with outstanding clinical skills and/or exceptional interest in the treatment of patients with neurologic injuries demonstrated by program development, clinical education, research, or patient care and as documented on the residency application.
- Pennsylvania licensure in Physical Therapy required.
- BLS, CPR- Required.
- Meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check.
- Comply with Jefferson's Covid-19 vaccination policy.
