At Focus Staff, we are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a diagnostic imaging specialist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images for medical diagnosis.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience as a licensed MRI Technologist and be fully proficient in all duties required of an MRI Technologist II. You will work closely with the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Perform patient studies according to set protocols, including placing specified coils close to areas of interest.
  • Interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures and address their concerns.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
Requirements
  • Two years of regular continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist and be fully proficient in all duties required of an MRI Technologist II.
  • License in required state.
  • BLS.
  • Fully proficient in MRI and knowledge of required protocols in performing complex MRI procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
