Position Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping Duties - Execute cleaning and sanitation tasks, including dusting and damp mopping floors in designated areas. Sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, tubs, floors, and commodes. Daily cleaning and sanitizing of patient room furniture, sitting areas, and dining room furniture. Responsible for the removal and disposal of trash and other related duties as assigned.
  • Safety Practices - Utilize protective gear during all relevant tasks. Ensure the safe and proper mixing and application of cleaning solutions while adhering to all safety protocols. Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisors promptly. Maintain established standards, safety, and quality guidelines. Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment at all times.
  • Attendance - Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality. Complete assigned cleaning tasks according to schedule. Respond to the paging system promptly.
  • Customer Interaction - Represent HCSG positively by following instructions and being courteous and cooperative with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff.
  • Resident Interaction - Engage in positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
  • After completing all necessary training, utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities independently while ensuring safety.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must be able to adhere to scheduled work hours and arrive on time.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as required by State, Local, and/or Customers.
  • Must be capable of lifting/carrying a maximum of 50 pounds, pushing/pulling a maximum of 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
  • Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Must reside within the service area.
