Unit Chief

As a Unit Chief with the Department of Forestry & Fire Protection, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our communities. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of firefighters and emergency responders in responding to wildfires and other emergency situations.

• Lead a team of firefighters and emergency responders in responding to wildfires and other emergency situations.
• Develop and implement strategies for preventing and responding to wildfires.
• Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
• Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

The incumbent will be required to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to hazardous conditions. The position may require working long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The incumbent will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.

• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a medical examination and be medically cleared to wear PPE.
