We are seeking a Triage RN to become a vital part of the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute team.
Position Highlights:
This is a Full-Time position with eligibility for benefits.
Role Responsibilities:
The Triage RN is accountable for providing patient care in a clinical office environment, employing the Nursing Process while considering the biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, and educational needs of patients and their families.
The RN demonstrates exceptional customer service skills on behalf of Central Maine Medical Group (CMMG) and adheres to CMMG's Clinical Policies and Procedures, while operating within the Maine Nurse Practice Act.
Key Duties Include:
- Delivering direct patient care and evaluating outcomes, while consulting with providers as necessary to adjust nursing care processes for optimal patient care.
- Conducting thorough assessments of patient needs based on initial contact.
- Performing comprehensive assessments on all patients, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations.
- Utilizing effective communication skills to build rapport with patients and gather comprehensive histories for assessment.
- Documenting patient information consistently and in a timely manner to communicate care plans and outcomes.
- Identifying and analyzing problematic calls for future discussion.
- Recognizing triage trends related to chief complaints.
- Participating in Quality Assurance initiatives to enhance teamwork and improve patient outcomes.
- Ensuring effective communication among team members through established protocols.
- Assessing and managing pain effectively, providing education to patients and families regarding pain management.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with up to six months of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Possession of a current RN license in the state of practice.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification is required.
- IV Certification is preferred.
