Key Responsibilities- Provide independent care to patients in the Emergency Department, utilizing evidence-based practice and clinical expertise to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate patient care, addressing the unique needs and concerns of each patient and family.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
- Support charge nurse decisions and perform charge role as needed, demonstrating leadership and teamwork skills.
- Participate in unit-based process activities, including performance improvement, professional development, and clinical practice, to enhance the quality of care and patient experience.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland or eligibility to practice due to Compact state agreements.
- Up-to-date status on all mandatory training and classes.
- One year of nursing experience, with solid knowledge and clinical skills.
- Diploma in nursing or Associate's Degree in nursing required.
- Current BLS certification required, with unit-based licensure as required for the role.
- Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years.
- Recent applicable clinical experience in a comparable setting.
- Experience in a comparable setting, with a focus on emergency care.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice and clinical expertise in emergency nursing.
- Ability to learn and use computer systems to manage patient information.
- Ability to participate in team-building efforts and support a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
