Bagdad is notable for housing the world's first commercial-scale concentrate leach processing facility and one of the longest-running solvent extraction/electrowinning plants globally.
Key Responsibilities
As a Safety and Security Specialist, you will:
- Conduct various patrols, security checks, emergency responses, and customer service tasks at designated locations.
- Welcome and register all visitors and vendors at the entrance, ensuring proper notification of their arrival.
- Guide visitors and vendors to their respective destinations while enforcing company policies and procedures.
Property Patrols
Perform regular patrols of the premises:
- Utilize walking, biking, or driving for scheduled rounds.
- Monitor the condition of equipment, grounds, and facilities.
- Manage litter and debris, coordinating clean-up efforts as necessary.
- Report any damages or maintenance needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Oversee areas with noted vandalism or criminal activity.
Emergency Preparedness
Be equipped to handle emergency situations:
- Collaborate with law enforcement to prevent crime.
- Work alongside fire response teams for fire control and medical emergency units during crises.
- Provide basic emergency medical assistance when required.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Current CPR and first aid certifications, as dictated by site requirements.
- Proficiency in responding to emergencies and conflict situations.
- Familiarity with site regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of the site layout and locations of emergency equipment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated pay range for this position is $21.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonuses, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual pay will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. Additional discretionary and incentive payment opportunities may be available based on individual and company performance.
