Job Title: Program Associate

Job Description:

MINDPOP is a non-profit organization that expands the arts and creative learning in classrooms, schools, and communities. As the managing partner of Austin's Creative Learning Initiative, MINDPOP is responsible for the design and coordination of a citywide effort to increase equitable access to arts learning, creative teaching across the curriculum, and connections with the rich cultural resources of our city.

The Program Associate will support the Executive Director in managing and delivering projects, including national consulting projects, grant writing, research, communications, and program evaluation. This role requires strong writing skills, time-management skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, proofread, and edit reports, organizational materials, and proposals.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director to meet organizational goals.
  • Manage projects through all stages of development, including managing communication, schedules, budgets, project deliverables, data collection, and reporting.
  • Support research and program evaluation by assisting in data collection, creating simple data summaries, and managing data sets according to predetermined protocols.
  • Design PowerPoint-style presentation decks for the organization, including design and the representation of ideas in visuals, text, tables, and graphs.
  • Develop social media content consistent with MINDPOP brand and update website content and organizational materials in collaboration with Program Directors.
  • Communicate with local and national leaders to gather information and manage tasks.

  • Salary: $55,000 annually

  • Full Time hires receive 20 days annual PTO, 12 organization-wide holidays, plus "Restorative Week" available upon completion of one calendar year of service.
  • Flexible in-office schedule, to be agreed upon with the Executive Director.
