Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our inpatient setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of conditions, including COPD, pneumonia, and asthma.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust treatments as needed.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Float to inpatient units and facilities as needed.
Requirements
  • Current RRT certification from the NBRC.
  • 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in an inpatient setting.
  • EPIC charting experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to work 12-hour NOCs, including every other weekend and holidays.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with BiPAP/CPAP and arterial blood gases.
  • Knowledge of medical/surgical respiratory therapy and ICU stepdown respiratory therapy.
