Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Eisenhower Health. As a key member of our Cardiology department, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography studies on patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric.

• Perform thorough echocardiography studies, including 2-D, M-Mode, Color Flow, and Spectral Doppler, as well as Transesophageal and Stress Echo procedures.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, including taking vital signs and measurements, positioning patients, and explaining procedures.
• Coordinate with pacer techs to obtain AV Optimization results.
• Document and process procedures accurately and timely, minimizing delays to reading physicians.
• Assist patients as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement and quality assessment programs.

• Graduation from an accredited educational program in American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) or associate's degree or higher in echocardiography/cardiovascular sonography.
• Successful completion of Echocardiography Registry Exam with RDCS, RCS, or RVT certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of employment.
• Experience in cardiovascular ultrasound settings and structural heart procedures is preferred.
