The Role:

The Investment Portfolio Supervisor plays a crucial role in evaluating and managing the credit risk associated with the bank's Commercial Real Estate and Commercial & Industrial portfolios. This position emphasizes thorough financial statement analysis, industry evaluation, collateral assessment, and cash flow scrutiny.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversees a portfolio of existing client relationships, consistently monitoring for potential vulnerabilities that may impact overall asset quality.
  • Evaluates new loan applications and/or renewals, as well as increases to current loans when necessary.
  • Conducts annual assessments of existing loan relationships.
  • Engages with clients to provide updates on their business strategies and to strengthen overall client relations.
  • Supports departmental management with ongoing credit enhancement initiatives and leads projects aimed at promoting loan growth and operational efficiency.
  • Assists in the compilation of Credit Administration reports.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with at least 4 years of progressively responsible experience in finance.
  • Experience in a commercial banking environment is highly desirable.
  • Proven expertise in asset allocation and management of loan portfolios.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Ability to cultivate effective relationships and exert influence at senior organizational levels.
  • Established acumen in credit, industry, and risk assessment.
  • Capability to interpret complex business and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in navigating cross-functional relationships and understanding the implications of risk and regulations at the business level.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze credit and industry trends, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advocate for sound credit practices in business terms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and possess advanced skills in Excel.
  • Familiarity with the Fiserv platform.
  • Experience with Salesforce/nCino platform is a plus.
