Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist Lead to join our team at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City, Montana. As a Radiation Therapist Lead, you will be responsible for leading the work of associates in the department, implementing directives related to adjusting staffing levels based on service needs and volumes, and acting as a resource and providing technical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads the work of associates in the department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of radiation therapy services.
  • Implements directives related to adjusting staffing levels based on service needs and volumes, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Acts as a resource and provides technical support to associates, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Verifies treatment plans and ensures accurate documentation of patient information, including treatment parameters, instructions, and billing information.
  • Performs treatment simulation and cerrobend block fabrication, ensuring precision and accuracy in radiation therapy delivery.
  • Observes and inquires of patients regarding any unusual reactions or events, promoting patient safety and well-being.
  • Maintains order and cleanliness of the unit, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation according to departmental standards, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying potential areas for improvement and implementing process changes to enhance patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program, required.
  • ARRT and RT(T) certifications in radiation therapy and current license in state of practice, required if applicable.
  • Current BLS certification, required.
  • Two (2) years of experience, required.
  • Leadership experience, preferred.
