Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our fast-growing team. As an early hire, you will have a unique opportunity to build core features and infrastructure critical to our product's growth during an exciting phase of expansion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Responsibilities- Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with object-oriented programming, with at least 1 year of Android development.
- Proficiency in Java and familiarity with Kotlin.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Knowledge of offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Understanding of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools and platforms, such as GitHub.
- Familiarity with continuous integration practices.
- Passion for the health industry or fitness.
- Experience in creating a product that has been used and loved by users—please share your work.
- Enthusiasm for learning and experimenting with new technologies.
