Physical Therapy Technician Job Description
At Upstream Rehabilitation Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapy Technician to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Technician, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment and treatment areas for patient use.
- Assist and/or observe patients perform prescribed therapy exercises and document patient responses to treatment.
- Perform basic prescribed treatments such as applying ice packs and heat pads as instructed.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and therapy areas, as well as change and launder linens.
- Perform administrative tasks, including assisting with patient intake, answering phone calls, and scheduling patient appointments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Organizational detail and ability to multitask.
- Proficient in the use of computers and learning new software programs.
