Position Overview: The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) plays a crucial role in delivering specialized nursing care in partnership with the healthcare team. This position involves conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic assessments, administering treatments, and executing minor medical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Order and analyze diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions.
- Administer medications and provide therapeutic interventions as necessary.
- Mentor and support new staff members and nursing students.
- Maintain meticulous patient records and facilitate efficient patient flow during clinical operations.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program is essential.
- Current licensure and certification in ACLS, BLS, ATLS, and as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Proficient in computerized medical recordkeeping systems.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Capability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, lifting, and reaching.
