Job Summary

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness seeking a skilled Custom Applicator/CDL Driver to join our team in Rockford, WA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying fertilizer and crop protection products to local farmers' fields, while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizer and crop protection products to fields, adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations.
  • Pick up and deliver products to customers as needed, maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
  • Work with customers to educate them on products being applied, techniques utilized, and how to continue supporting them with products and services.
  • Assist the sales staff in ensuring orders are correct and patron needs are met.
  • Perform warehouse work, including driving a loader, forklift, and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Lift and load products, up to 1-2 hours per day.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles and work environment.
  • Complete and document daily maintenance inspections, ensuring proper equipment maintenance is completed, including repairs and preventive maintenance.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in Agriculture Production, Operations, and/or Agriculture Application.
  • Must meet minimum age requirement.
  • Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to work additional hours, be available for overnight stays, and occasional weekends to meet business demands.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
  • Agriculture background and customer experience preferred.
  • Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred.
