As an Operating Room Registered Nurse with TotalMed, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering specialized care throughout surgical procedures. Your duties will encompass preparing the Operating Room team, maintaining aseptic conditions, aiding surgeons, and monitoring patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care in the operating room, assisting with surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety.
  • Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including setting up equipment, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring aseptic conditions.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to assist with procedures, maintain a sterile field, and anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration and airway management as needed during surgery.
  • Provide postoperative care, including wound care, monitoring recovery, and educating patients and their families on postoperative instructions and self-care.

Requirements

  • Current RN license
  • BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
  • 2 years of recent OR (Operating Room) nursing experience.
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills.
