Job Summary

UES is seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team at our Burgettstown, PA manufacturing plant. As a Laborer, you will play a critical role in supporting our production team by performing various tasks related to mold preparation, material handling, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mold Preparation: Clean and prepare molds for casting, using scrapers and wire brushes to remove debris and mix paint for application.
  • Material Handling: Assist in loading and unloading materials for the furnace, scrap charge, additives, or fluxes as required.
  • Equipment Operation: Assist in operating the mold furnace, cutting hot top blocks, and positioning the pony ladle for vacuum degassed heats.
  • General Labor: Perform various tasks as directed, including cleaning the pit and working area, assisting in stripping operations, and assisting in any emergency situations.
Requirements
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends as required.
  • Willingness to direct crane operations as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
