Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas using forklifts and other powered equipment.
  • Maintain inventory levels by supplying production areas with necessary materials.
  • Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, or shelves as required.
  • Complete necessary paperwork using RF (Radio Frequency) systems.

Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct daily inspections of vehicles, recharge batteries, and replace liquefied propane gas (LP) tanks as needed.

Team Collaboration:
Foster a collaborative environment to ensure efficient task completion. Work closely with production supervisors and inventory control to implement effective changes in systems and procedures.

Essential Duties:
  • Coordinate material movement between departments according to routing requirements.
  • Sort materials as per Quality Control requests.
  • Print and distribute pick tickets, performing necessary computer transactions.
  • Organize material pulling sequences and communicate with Material Support.

Production Support:
Ensure production schedules are met through timely processing and movement of goods. Assist during peak times by operating material handling equipment and performing required transactions.

Communication:
Maintain effective communication with management and team members across shifts to ensure smooth operations.

Continuous Improvement:
Assist supervisors with improvement projects, evaluate new equipment, and identify training needs.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; experience in a related field is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions in English.
  • Strong mathematical skills for calculations and data interpretation.
  • Must be willing to obtain MEC Material Handling Certification and CLD License A/B.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires regular sitting, talking, and hearing, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities must include close, distance, and peripheral vision.
