Manufacturing Systems Operator

Job Description: As a Manufacturing Systems Operator, you will be responsible for controlling equipment systems that process chemical substances and blended materials into specified products. This role relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish safety, quality, and production goals.
Key responsibilities include transferring specified amounts of materials into heating vessels or blending tanks; turning valves to feed liquid and gaseous materials through equipment units or setting controls in specified sequence on control panel to start automatic feed. You will also adjust controls to maintain system at specified temperature, pressure, and vacuum levels.
You will monitor chemical reactions, gauges, signals, and recorders; receive notifications from the control laboratory, supervisor, or other workers to make specified operating adjustments. Additionally, you will receive raw materials for the production process and assist with quality confirmation and inventory maintenance, including barge, railcar, tank truck, tote/drum quantities.
This role requires certification on assorted mobile equipment (forklift, heavy equipment) and basic computer and math literacy. The ideal candidate will have effective oral and written communication skills; ability to read and write in English. They should be mechanically inclined with the ability to operate plant equipment and detail-oriented with a safety-first approach to all tasks.
