Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced R&D Molecular Scientist to join our team in San Diego. This role will be responsible for designing and performing complex experiments, generating hypotheses, and making conceptual contributions to project activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute sophisticated experiments with minimal supervision.
  • Develop effective hypotheses to drive project goals and experimental directions.
  • Making substantial conceptual contributions to project strategies and scientific activities.
  • Creatively solve project obstacles and identify broad implications of findings.
Requirements
  1. Master's degree in Molecular Biology or Biochemistry; PhD preferred.
  2. 5-7 years of hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, with a focus on assay development in the IVD industry.
  3. Expertise in molecular diagnostic assay design, optimization, and validation, with proficiency in nucleic acid extraction, PCR/qPCR, sequencing, and other molecular techniques.
  4. Regulated environment experience (e.g., FDA, ISO) and knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards for IVD products.
