About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Barnes Group. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex machinery, ensuring high-quality production and adhering to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC machines to produce machined parts, adhering to documented procedures and engineering specifications.
  • Quality Control: Inspect parts for quality and accuracy, maintaining quality records and communicating any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and call for repair as needed.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate records of production, communicate with colleagues and supervisors, and adhere to established company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on CNC machine operation and maintenance.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, with trade school or journeyman experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of computers, electronics, and CNC machines, with experience editing and optimizing G-code programs a plus.
