About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Generator Technician to join our team at Centerline Drivers. As a Generator Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of select customer generators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of generators
  • Travel to job sites in the service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle
  • Document all installed equipment upon arrival, including make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary
  • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate systems to manufacturer's recommendations
  • Leverage effective communication strategies to manage customer expectations and work through customer conflict/concerns
Requirements
  • 2-7 years of experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of generators
  • High School Diploma or Associates Degree
  • Generator certifications and data center experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office experience, specifically Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently in a timely manner and make sure job is done correctly the first time
  • Excellent organizational skills and good oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and observe all company procedures and safety rules
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, and hear. The employee must regularly lift up to 51 pounds, be able to push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices), carry and climb ladders, work from heights, work in small crawl spaces, balance, stoop, kneel.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected compensation includes $38 to $50 an hour and benefits including medical, vision, and dental benefits, and 401(k) retirement plan available for eligible employees. Compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as an individual's education, training, experience, skills, geographic location, seniority, merit, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need.
