About the Role

This Staff RN position is an exciting opportunity to join the esteemed team at Mount Sinai St. Luke's, specializing in the Pediatric Acute Care Unit (PACU). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care, while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nurse assessment and planning: Conduct thorough nursing assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Patient education: Deliver high-quality patient education to promote self-advocacy and empower patients to manage their health effectively.
  • Teamwork and communication: Foster a collaborative environment, providing guidance, support, and feedback to colleagues to enhance teamwork and job satisfaction.
  • Clinical expertise: Utilize your extensive clinical knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality patient care, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent degree required; Associate Degree considered with relevant experience and/or active enrollment in BSN program approved by Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a pediatric acute care setting, preferably in a surgical unit.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from American Heart Association mandatory.
