Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the culinary operations of Gecko Hospitality's kitchens, ensuring seamless execution of menu items and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Recruit, develop, and supervise a team of skilled kitchen professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to drive menu innovation, quality control, and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Chef Assistant in a high-volume, scratch kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with knowledge of menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
