Key Responsibilities- Utilize assessment and data collection methods to identify strengths and needs of individual students and the broader school community.
- Consult and collaborate with colleagues, students, families, and other stakeholders to promote effective implementation of services.
- Implement and evaluate services that support cognitive and academic skills, socialization, learning, and mental and behavioral health.
- Develop and implement practices and strategies to create and maintain effective and supportive learning environments for children and others.
- Promote services that enhance learning, mental and behavioral health, safety, and physical well-being through protective and adaptive factors.
- Master's degree in school psychology.
- Experience delivering mental health interventions in a school setting.
- Basic knowledge of typical office equipment and Microsoft Office.
- Intermediate organizational skills and advanced verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills.
- Ability and desire to work as a team member and guide, direct, or influence people.
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.
- Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) certification.
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Racially conscious and culturally competent with the skill, will, capacity, and knowledge to commit to a culture of continuous improvement.
The School Psychologist will work primarily indoors with occasional outdoor activities. The position requires light work strength level (lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds) and involves prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending and reaching, and occasional lifting, pulling, and pushing.
