Job Summary:

Lincare Holdings Inc. is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering and providing instruction to patients and/or caregivers on the proper use of equipment and/or respiratory care procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and set up respiratory equipment to patients' homes, ensuring proper operating condition and educating patients on its use.
  • Conduct routine patient follow-up contacts and equipment maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including daily delivery logs, plans of care, and treatment plans, in accordance with company requirements.
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition, both in the field and at the office.
  • Provide and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care, coordinate respiratory services, and perform respiratory care services in accordance with physician's orders.
  • Consult with referring physicians regarding patient treatment, medical condition, and home environment.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved respiratory program is required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Credentials with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred, Certified Respiratory Technician (CRT) accepted.
  • Must have current state professional license.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience, or as required by law and regulation, in respiratory care is required.
  • Experience with home medical equipment is highly desired.
  • Current CPR certification and attainment of company direct patient care health requirements is required before interacting with patients.
  • Should have knowledge of Word Processing software.

Physical Demands:

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
