Job Title: Stationary EngineerContra Costa County, CA is seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team. As a Stationary Engineer, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems in various buildings throughout the County.
Key Responsibilities:- Resolve customer complaints related to airflow, heating, cooling, and ventilation
- Respond to HVAC-related alarms and elevator malfunctions
- Calibrate and maintain pneumatic, electric, and computerized (DDC system) controls
- Inspect chillers and ensure containment and proper handling of refrigerants
- Perform routine and emergency work orders submitted by customer departments
- Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License
- Type 1 or Type 2 certification for handling Chlorofluorocarbons
- Completion of at least one college-level course in basic refrigeration and electricity
- Two years of full-time experience as a stationary engineer or operating engineer maintaining and repairing HVAC equipment
- Knowledge of diesel generators
- Experience working with data/server room cooling systems
- Knowledge of current Title 24 and/or OSHA requirements
