Unit OverviewOur 4W Surgical Unit is a 50-bed medical-surgical inpatient unit located on the fourth floor of the Wilmington Hospital campus. We provide scheduled and emergent care/procedures on a 24-hour basis, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care and outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and report patient status to physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware.
- BSN required or commitment to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire date.
- One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting is required.
- BLS Certification is required.
