Custodial Worker

Support the Military's Quality of Life programs by maintaining a clean and safe environment at the Bremerton Fitness Complex.

• Perform routine custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe buildings, cabins, rooms, and grounds.
• Clean showers, sauna, and steam room.
• Clean glass partitions, inside and outside windows, walls, and ceiling fixtures using ladders and scaffolds.
• May be required to move and set up tables, chairs, and other equipment as required for events.
• Maintain restrooms in clean and sanitary condition, including disinfecting and deodorizing lavatories, sinks, and toilet bowls, replacing deodorizers, toilet tissue, and soap.

• Successful completion of National Agency Background (NACI) Check required.
• This position involves work on workdays and may involve weekends, and holidays, as well as rotating shifts.
• Physical exertion is involved in standing and walking for long periods, some bending, stooping, and lifting is required.
• Must have ability to perform moderately strenuous physical labor as unassisted lifting, moving, and carrying of supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
• May be required to climb/descend stairs and properly placed stepladders.

• Knowledge and skill sufficient to read signs and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work safely while moving lightweight objects.
• Must be able to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies such as floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, cleaning compounds, and solutions and perform minor maintenance on equipment.
