Body Shop Painter

We are seeking a skilled Body Shop Painter to join our team at East Texas Mack Sales, LLC. As a Body Shop Painter, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality paint finishes on vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Promote a culture of customer satisfaction and maintain a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technical knowledge and best practices in paint repair and refinishing.
  • Evaluate repair orders accurately and notify estimators of any necessary adjustments.
  • Plan and execute efficient work procedures using technical manuals and knowledge of surface preparations and painting techniques.
  • Apply paint and coatings according to guidelines and efficiently use allocated tools.
  • Utilize protective supplies to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Operate lifting and moving devices to move materials and equipment.
  • Clean, sand, and apply chemical solutions to prepare and condition surfaces for painting.
  • Mask and cover surfaces not to be painted and remove accessories such as chrome, mirrors, and windshield wipers.
  • Mix and thin paint or other coatings to specified color and consistency.
  • Spray specified amounts or thicknesses of primer, protective, decorative, or finish coatings onto prepared surfaces.
Qualifications:
  • Education and/or experience in paint repair.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding and compliance with safety rules and practices.
  • A positive outlook with a high-energy personality.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and critical thinking.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
