Job Overview

Position: Material Quality Inspector

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday

  • Evening Shift: 2:00pm – 11:00pm

Work Location: San Jose, CA

Compensation: $22.00/hr. (Dependent on Experience)

Position Summary:

The Material Quality Inspector is responsible for the thorough examination of received components, materials, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections on incoming materials, including but not limited to hardware, printed circuit boards, electronic components, cables, harnesses, and wires.
  • Document all inspection activities by creating detailed inspection reports, first article inspection reports, and non-conformance reports.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement and engineering teams.
  • Assist in establishing methods, sequences, and procedures necessary for effective inspection.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications for parts.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Receiving Inspection.
  • Familiarity with Oracle ERP and Agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of blueprint reading.
  • IPC 600 Certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO13485 and other ISO standards.
  • Proficient with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, screw checkers, thread checkers, microscopes, and CMM machines.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
