Job Description

This role supports the sales cycle by facilitating customer orders for products via order entry and basic account servicing.

  • Collects customer information and product specifications.
  • Reviews purchase orders before accepting them and confirms details.
  • Processes new purchase orders into the system, including delivery or shipping requirements.
  • Routes supplies, job jackets, and materials to work areas for production.
  • Routes inquiries and complaints in a timely manner, demonstrating excellent service and follow-through.
  • Prioritizes workload as necessary to meet business needs.
  • Receives tickets for shipped or delivered products and begins the billing process.

The ideal candidate will have excellent technology and communication skills, a passion for customer service, and previous experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Speaking directly with internal and external customers.
  • Processing purchase orders and ensuring accurate delivery or shipping details.
  • Maintaining clear and fluid communication with plant personnel regarding special orders.
  • Responding to inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Prioritizing tasks to best meet business needs.
Qualifications and Experience

We seek an individual with one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, and customers.
