Daily Responsibilities

Conduct thorough scrap analysis and provide hands-on support in identifying root causes alongside operators.
Perform internal and customer-focused root cause investigations.
Manage and report on customer rejection metrics.
Support engineering projects and customer initiatives.
Conduct pan pours, DSC analysis, and other product-related testing as required.
Engage in project work aimed at enhancing processes and products.
Assist in the preparation of product compliance documentation, including Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Failure Reporting Mechanisms (FRMs).
Calibrate essential equipment such as scales, measuring devices, and MPUs.
Oversee document control processes.
Participate in internal audits.

Broad Responsibilities

Take accountability for promoting Quality Assurance principles across the production organization, integrating essential practices into the core of manufacturing operations.
Facilitate internal quality events (e.g., Root Cause Failure Analysis, Out of Specification Investigations, Quality Near Misses) while representing the "Voice of the Customer".
Contribute to Shift, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Annual Management Operating System meetings, fostering collaboration and cross-functional problem-solving to enhance operational performance.
Manage compliance statements, conduct raw material testing, and oversee sample certifications.
Update, monitor, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures for accurate and timely quality data reporting, aligning with customer specifications and ISO standards.
Coordinate quality-related data from production, service, or process improvement initiatives, analyzing and interpreting results using statistical techniques.
Assist Quality Management System personnel during internal and external audits.
Conduct root cause failure analyses and develop corrective actions, sharing responsibility for the quality of non-conformity reports.
Support the development of rework plans, providing technical assistance and follow-up.
Lead the response process for customer complaints, returns, and supplier quality issues, ensuring effective and timely investigations.
Provide backup and on-call support to the Quality Department, including physical product inspections when necessary.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- A degree in mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering is required.
- Experience with chemical batch and continuous processes is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in a plant environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments, including production and engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with ERP and Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of ASTM standards is advantageous.
- Experience in inspection processes.
- Preferred experience in CMM programming and execution.
