Job Description

ECU Health Medical Center is a leading healthcare institution serving a 29-county region with over 1.4 million people. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide care in accordance with North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and ECU Health specific nursing policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide care in accordance with North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and ECU Health specific nursing policies.
  • Responsible for the provision and coordination of nursing care, including the collection and analysis of assessment data, identification of expected outcomes, and development of plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Identify interventions to attain expected outcomes
  • Implement the interventions identified in the plan of care
  • Evaluate the progress of the patient/family toward attainment of outcomes
  • Document the process
  • Promotes and evaluates the effective functioning of the health care team, collaborating with team members to meet the identified needs of the patient/family throughout the episode of care.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Nursing, Associates in Nursing or higher
  • Bachelors Degree is preferred
  • 0 - 2 years experience is required
  • Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state Health Care Provider is required
  • Basic Life Support is required
