Paramedic Job Description

AmeriPro EMS LLC is seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team in Randolph County, GA. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient care from an ambulance
• Supervise day-to-day field operation employees in the absence of senior management
• Ensure field employees have the required equipment to perform their duties
• Serve as liaison for field staff to other departments
• Prepare reports on mechanical breakdowns, accident investigations, and other incidents
• Ensure adherence to AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, and protocols
• Assist in evaluating employee performance and maintaining attendance records
• Manage short-term scheduling needs and ensure crews turn in TEFs
• Deliver RTF paperwork to employees on duty and forward to administrative assistant
• Perform daily duties, including truck cleaning, station duties, and check-offs
• Respond to the scene of calls and assume command in the event of a Mass Casualty Incident
• Attend regular planning meetings

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the EMS field
• State-specific Paramedic license in good standing and current NREMT certification
• CPR: BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS certifications
• Valid state-specific driver's license
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening
• Strong people skills and ability to collaborate within a team
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a Paramedic or in a similar medical role
• Additional certification or advanced training in emergency services
• Technology proficiency

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical services
• Knowledge of company medical director-approved protocols and standing orders
• Ability to read and interpret local maps
• Demonstrated skills in completing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand medical terminology
• Demonstrated ability to write reports and correspondence
• Demonstrated ability to utilize personal computer systems

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move up to 180 pounds and occasionally up to 300 pounds with assistance
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
