Job DescriptionWe're seeking an experienced Lot Attendant to support our sales team in maintaining a professional and inviting dealership atmosphere. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the organization, cleanliness, and security of our vehicle inventory. Your duties will include:
- Parking and organizing incoming vehicles to maximize lot space utilization
- Assisting with vehicle movement between the lot, service department, and test drives
- Conducting visual inspections of incoming and outgoing vehicles to identify any existing damage
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle location and ensuring all vehicles are properly accounted for
- Maintaining a clean and presentable appearance of vehicles by removing debris or elemental causes
- Preparing vehicles for customer viewing by ensuring proper window stickers, pricing information, and dealership branding are displayed
- Strategically positioning high-demand vehicles for optimal customer visibility
- Moving sold vehicles and maintaining fresh inventory on the showroom floor
- Performing minor maintenance tasks such as topping off fluids or replacing batteries (subject to dealership policy)
- Providing a friendly and professional attitude to potential customers browsing the lot
- Answering basic customer questions about vehicle features and availability, directing them to salespeople when needed
- Assisting customers with test drive preparation by retrieving keys and paperwork
- Maintaining the cleanliness and order of the dealership lot by removing trash and debris
- Reporting any safety hazards or maintenance needs for the lot to a supervisor
- Demonstrating a high level of kindness, optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity (Hospitality Quotient)
- Holding a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- A strong work ethic and commitment to providing excellent customer service
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for keeping the lot organized and presentable
- Good physical condition, able to perform manual labor tasks including walking, bending, pushing/pulling vehicles
- Standing and Walking: Attendants spend significant time on their feet, walking around the dealership lot and moving vehicles
- Lifting and Pushing: They must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment and push cars, often in tight spaces
- Reaching and Bending: Attendants frequently reach, bend, and stoop to access vehicle doors and features
- Weather Tolerance: Attendants must be able to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
