Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer Senior to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructure, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and Internet connections.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and applications, while maintaining the highest levels of network security and availability.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Installation, configuration, and support of LANs, WANs, AINs, Intranets, and Internets
- Maintenance of network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers
- Monitoring of network performance and implementation of necessary maintenance to ensure optimal network availability
- Supervision of other network support and client server specialists, planning, coordinating, and implementing network security measures
- Leadership and mentorship of junior and mid-level network engineers
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience or Master's degree with 10 years of experience
- Mitigation of risks, control of costs and schedule variance, and effective management of large-scale, integrated projects
- Review and approval of Network engineering documentation to ensure accuracy, comprehensiveness, and completeness
- Establishment and follow-up of formal procedures for coordinating Network integration activities among multiple teams
- Capture and storage of interface designs in a common interface control format and repository
- TS/SCI security clearance level
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) certification
- IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+
- Minimum CCNA computing environment certification
