Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Support Representative to join our team at Rudd Equipment Company, Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting parts and service sales within an assigned territory and acting as a liaison between customers and our Parts Manager and/or Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and sell certain items to customers, with a focus on increasing parts and service sales to all customers, particularly those with whom we do not have a strong or recent sales history.
  • Call on customers at the time of purchase or rental to provide needed information and discuss customer concerns and/or complaints relative to parts/service.
  • Work with the Parts/Service Manager to resolve problems while maintaining company policies and positions.
  • Review manufacturer service bulletins and product improvements, and provide customers with technical, pricing, and available information.
  • Follow up with customers after service department repairs to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in customer outings, association gatherings, exhibits, and demonstrations.
  • Provide superior customer service and promote a positive professional image.
  • Train customers on the proper use of parts manuals, microfiche, etc.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or some college desired.
  • Previous sales experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and great interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to get along with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and flexible manner.
  • Must be able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Computer and data entry skills, with experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment, and travel may be required on occasion.

This is a full-time, exempt position, with normal days of work being Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
