Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer Leader to join our team in Austin, USA. As a leader, you will be responsible for overseeing controls engineering project requirements, involving control system design, PLC programming, instrumentation, and start-up assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Design and Implementation: Design control systems (logic software and hardware) to meet process system requirements.">
  • Development and Scheduling: Develop schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring, and design equipment panel layouts on AutoCAD software.">
  • Project Management: Lead design reviews with customers for review and approval of design documents, work at customer sites to perform system checkout and start-up, develop final record system documentation, and provide system training to customers.">
  • Technical Leadership: Act as technical lead on projects and guide lower-level engineers and technicians, and act as Project Manager on smaller projects ranging from $50K to $250K.">

Requirements:

  • Education: BS in Engineering Required (Electrical Engineering preferred).">
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in control systems, components, logic programming, instrumentation, and controls design SCADA and PLC systems required.">
  • Skill Set: Strong inter-personnel skills, ability to communicate and work with team members, subcontractors, and clients, and ability to travel up to 35%.">
  • Industry Experience: Experience in Semiconductor industry required, other industry experience of interest is Battery EV / EV, or Data Center automation.">

Compensation: The estimated annual base salary for this position is between $80,000 - $140,000, depending on your experience and qualifications.

Others: This is a hybrid role, but you must live within the Austin area to come into the office and go to customer sites as needed.
