Cost Accountant Opportunity at Jobot

Jobot, a prominent player in the wholesale building materials sector, is on the lookout for a skilled Cost Accountant to enhance our financial team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and classify financial data to create standard costing and inventory systems
  • Establish benchmarks for material costs, labor processes, and efficiency improvements
  • Engage in specialized projects focused on cost tracking and forecasting
  • Prepare the annual budget for manufacturing operations and review expenditure reports
  • Manage monthly inventory counts to ensure accuracy
  • Support auditors during financial reviews and maintain inventory documentation
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong foundation in accounting principles and technical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with JDEdwards and proficiency in MS Excel
Education and Experience Requirements:

A minimum of a two-year degree in accounting with relevant experience, or a four-year degree in accounting. At least three years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
