Role Summary:
The Radiology Technologist will perform a variety of imaging procedures while adhering to the highest standards of practice and the organization's core values. This role involves:
- Reviewing patient medical histories and physician orders to ensure accurate scheduling and preparation.
- Educating patients about imaging procedures to promote understanding and cooperation.
- Administering contrast media and medications as per established protocols.
- Monitoring patient conditions throughout procedures and responding to any changes in status.
- Preparing and maintaining imaging equipment, ensuring safety standards and quality control are upheld.
- Positioning patients correctly and executing imaging procedures while analyzing results for quality assurance.
- Utilizing critical thinking and decision-making skills to address challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Licensure/Certification: Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R). State licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.
