Position: Evening Custodial Technician

Location: Kennewick School District

JOB OVERVIEW

The individual in this role will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of the school facilities, while performing minor maintenance tasks and addressing safety concerns that do not require specialized skills. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  1. Maintain a clean and safe environment for students and staff.
  2. Perform routine inspections of the facility and report maintenance needs.
  3. Assist in setting up and dismantling for school events and activities.
  4. Utilize custodial equipment effectively to maintain cleanliness.
  5. Handle basic repairs and upkeep of the school premises.
  6. Ensure proper sanitation of restrooms and common areas.
  7. Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.
  8. Work collaboratively with other staff members to achieve cleanliness and safety goals.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  1. Proven experience in custodial or maintenance roles.
  2. Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
  3. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
  4. Physical capability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving items.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The role involves working in various school settings, which may include exposure to cleaning chemicals and physical labor. The individual must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment for all school occupants.
