Preschool Gymnastics Coach

Job Summary: The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Preschool Gymnastics Instructor to provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for preschool children ages 3-5 years, teaching gymnastics skills and progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans with a natural progression appropriate to the age and ability of the gymnast.
• Instruct gymnasts in a safe and fun manner, outlining class lesson plans to keep children moving.
• Enforce all safety rules and regulations in the gymnastics gym.
• Finish each class with a fun group activity.
• Incorporate and discuss the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

Requirements:

• Commitment to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
• Knowledge and experience in teaching gymnastics and/or years of personal gymnastics experience.
• Able to demonstrate a friendly, courteous, and professional manner while working with members, parents, and staff.
• Positive attitude and previous experience with youth and diverse populations.
• Ability and willingness to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on the first day and other online or in-person training as required.
