About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our Behavioral Medicine Department. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work with patients to provide leisure opportunities, education, and support to help them overcome barriers to a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose patient and family needs to provide high-quality care.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate recreational and leisure activities to meet individual treatment needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of clinical care to ensure seamless integration with the healthcare team.
  • Stay current with knowledge, certification, and licensure requirements.
  • Participate in professional growth and development opportunities.
  • Support operational needs of the department and organization as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreation required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of work experience; internship experience may be considered in lieu of one year of work experience.
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification required upon hire.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association certification required upon hire.
  • CPI certification within 90 days.
  • Ukeru User Certification within 90 days.
