Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in a locum tenens Emergency Medicine position in Tennessee. As a Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide medical care to patients in the Emergency Department
- Conduct physical exams, take medical histories, and order diagnostic tests as needed
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records
**Requirements:**
- Active state license
- Board certification (BC) required
- Experience in Emergency Medicine or a related field
- Ability to work varied shifts, including days, swings, and nights
- ACLS certification
- 246 acute inpatient beds, 35 behavioral health
- Stroke and chest pain center, not a trauma center
- Credentialing and DEA registration required
