The Clinical Nurse II is a key member of our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care and patient/family teaching in a controlled setting with predictable outcomes. This role requires a competent practitioner who utilizes the nursing process to organize and implement safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient care.
Responsibilities- Functioning under moderate supervision, the Clinical Nurse II provides patient care and patient/family teaching, utilizing the nursing process to ensure safe, therapeutic, and efficient care.
- Organize and implement patient care in controlled settings with predictable outcomes, serving patients from neonate through adult-geriatric.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Maryland.
- Successful completion of required hospital, nursing, and unit orientation, including BLS certification and medication certification.
- Maintains criteria for and has demonstrated proficiency at the Clinical Nurse I level and meets eligibility requirements for Clinical Nurse II.
- ACLS required (PACU, ICCU, ED), NALS required (Obstetrical-Nursery) or eligible for completion of course within six (6) months from date in position.
- Certification in specialty is preferred.
- Telemetry Nurse must pass a basic arrhythmia exam and have ability to recognize critical rhythms and seek intervention.
