Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at D&B Supply. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide information on store merchandise.
  • Transaction Processing: Establish prices, compute totals, and receive payment by cash, check, credit card, or voucher.
  • Checkout Operations: Bag or box merchandise, issue receipts, and provide change to customers.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, count money in cash drawers, and sort, count, and wrap currency and coins.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in stocking shelves and marking prices.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Skills: Proven work history in providing customer service, ability to calculate numbers, and effective communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work majority of shift standing and lift up to 50 pounds.
